A primary candidate doesn’t gain political advantage by being specific about the issues. But voters deserve better.
Principles
Voters deserve leaders who listen.
Voters need leaders who are honest.
Voters want leaders who are independent.
- I will not take contributions from special interests.
- I will bridge the urban-rural divide by building relationships with non-Portland legislators, including members outside the Democratic Party. I will visit other legislators’ districts, learn about their issues, meet their constituents, and invite them to do the same.
- I will talk directly with voters to share a vision for the future Oregon deserves: flourishing schools, a healthy natural environment, and a robust health care system. By working with groups like Stand for Children, the Oregon League of Conservation Voters, and the Oregon Bus Project, we can build a progressive majority in this state. Elected officials have a crucial role to play in this effort.
