Where do I stand?
A primary candidate doesn’t gain political advantage by being specific about the issues. But voters deserve better.
Good Government
Oregon’s legislature is paralyzed by partisanship and special interests. I am committed to making the Legislature work.
- Bipartisanship. To help establish the climate of trust that is necessary to get business done, I will visit my legislative colleagues elsewhere in the state, getting to know their issues and inviting them to do the same. We will not always find common ground, but we can develop the personal relationships that make compromise and productivity possible.
- Accountability. Through canvassing and correspondence, my campaign is building an unparalleled level of connection with residents of District 46. If elected, I will be accountable to voters, not special interests.
- Efficiency. I will work to make government more efficient. We need increased auditing to ensure that government’s back-office work does not unnecessarily divert resources from critical services.
- The Public Interest. My pledge to refuse donations from Political Action Committees (PACs) puts voters, not special interests, in charge. I will always be available to constituents – in my office, on the phone, or by e-mail.
